Warners and BBC... take note.

The two Wrong 'uns on 'The Shadows Live at the BBC' ARE a problem to us all. Their inclusion spoiled the experience of listening to what would otherwise have been a perfect album. And it's not the best idea in the world to sell product that contains errors, no matter how insignificant they may be. I suspect that now the error has been pointed out and is common knowledge, many people will be waiting for the 'corrected' version to appear before buying this album. As much as I love collecting Shadows CDs that contain the wrong tracks, I'd much rather they didn't exist, thanks. Looking forward to the 'fixed' version and volume 2.

P.S. If the 'fixed' version hits the shops, I shall have no hesitation in recommending it to as many people as I can. And then, of course, there are Birthdays and Christmas presents to be considered...

:D

Will the new re-issued CD be recognisable in some way?

Maybe by using a marking on the inner circle on the back of the disc, just like the repressings of the Australian CD "30 All Time Greatest Hits".

Hi Iain and thanks for this. It would seem the Beeb is upholding advertising standards as the CD was "Live at the BBC".
Please add me to the swop list. Cheers ~ Ian.

Any chance of making just the replacement tracks available (web, e-mail?) to genuine CD owners to avoid sending a CD to and fro from overseas?

Surely the best way to differentiate between original and replacement CDs (and maybe the box too?) would be to simply change the colour scheme? That could be done at the press of a button with no design alterations as such. That's what I'd do, anyway.

Good though these ideas are, the only purpose of this thread to give Warner an idea of the numbers involved. When I've told them that, I will wait to hear what they plan to do.
