Fifteen years today the Shads kicked off their Final Tour at Scarborough. They hit Blackpool on May 29th.
Will be putting up the poster, getting out the Blu ray, raising a glass to the lads, and reliving a fantastic
night. Memories are a wonderful thing.

I was at Scarborough. It was a very emotional moment to see them all together again after so long, and to hear that great music played by the masters. Never to be forgotten...

You've got it spot on David. So emotional, the ten minute standing ovation they got here when they came on
Can just close my eyes and see it again.

I flew from Helsinki to London to see The Shadows at the Apollo theatre on 12 June 2004. I still have the ticket. It was a great night. As it turned out, they finally came to Helsinki as well and performed in my home town on 18 April 2005.

An incredible experience. Or two.

Saw them in Nottingham, front row seats and then spoke to Brian and Bruce after the show in an Indian restaurant!

Then paid something insane like £500 for two tickets to see them at the London Palladium on what, at the time, was their final show! It was a baking night!

Can't believe it's 15 years ago. Time flies!

I was lucky enough to see them 6 times during the 2004 tour and 6 times during the 2005 tour (also 3 times in their dressing room and backstage).
500 quid blimey, I re-sold 2 mid second row from stage tickets for face value(my friend father in law was badly ill)... and the geezer who bought them told he couldn't get tickets....he wasn't even grateful...during the show I discover he had his (lesser)tickets sold for a bucket load of pounds...maybe to you Chris...

Cheers Rob

Good spot, Norman - I was there in Scarborough too. It was magical. Hard to believe it is 15 years.

For me it will be 15 years ago in 15 days time, as my father, some friends and I saw The Shadows for the first time as a group on Saturday May 15th, 2004 at the Theatre Royal in Norwich. A few hours before the show, we traveled to the theatre to meet them at the stage door and we succeeded in getting Hank, Bruce and Brian's autographs as well as have pictures taken with them. We had a fantastic weekend.
