Hi everyone.
It is with great sadness that I have to announce that the club will close with immediate affect, for at least twelve months.
Dan and I hope that everone will understand that we have given our best for nearly five years and that now it is time for Dan to concentrate on his career.
We would like to THANK everyone that helped to support the club, we did have some great meetings.
Who knows what the future will hold .
Thanks again.
Ken,Daniel Angela.

Sad news – I enjoyed my single visit last year and was hoping to make the trip again. I'm sure it will be very much missed.

Hi Ken, Dan and Angela.
Sad news indeed for Smallwwod and the Cheshire meetings but I can fully understand the need to concentrate on Dan's musical future.
It was a great 5 years (was it REALLY that long?) from first beginnings at the Masonic Hall to our great location at Smallwood.
Lets hope that it will come back in 2011.
Good luck to Dan - he's a Class Act and will go far.
cheers
Ian

Really sorry to hear that the 'Club is closing but wholeheartedly agree with your priorities - Dan's a talented musician and needs
to concentrate exclusively on developing a career. The longer he leaves it the harder it's going to get.
One of the most memorable occasions at the 'Club for me was when Dan played lead/rhthym guitar, Clive (Duckworth) was on drums and I played Bass on a piece titled "Cissy Strut". Dan being his usual very enthusiastic self had sent me the dots and a recording of the piece only a few days before the 'Club meeting (forgetting that Clive and I have got full time non musical day jobs!). Even so on the day and without any rehearsal whatsoever we played the piece and it sounded excellent - much to my surprise. Again it was a testament to Dan's enthusiasm which spreads to other people.
I hope that we will have the opportunity to do "Cissy Strut" again one day.
As Andy (Cook) said, in an earlier posting on this subject, it would be great to see Cheshire Club members at the Derby and/or North Notts Clubs
With Best Wishes, for the future
Tony

A shame but que sera as they say. My brother Clive and I had some good times there recently with a warm and friendly welcome from everybody and --it was pretty well the only trip out made by my AC30 which I was able to crank up a bit for a change. Franz, aka Nigel

HI Ken,
It's been a while since I was able to attend the Cheshire club however the memories of the Masonic hall and more recently at Smallwood will stay with Ange and I.
The welcome was always very warm and Dan proved over and over the talent that he had.
Sad that another club closes however education is of paramount importance and I am sure that Dan will return to thrill us all with his musical talent.
