Obviously this is a favourite track of mine and has been for many, many, many years! However, was not aware until now of this single release. Is it recent? Were the Shadows being released on Parlophone in 1975? I didn't think so. A bit of a mystery.

It's probably a Japanese/Chinese copy, all the spelling is dodgy and The Shadows were never on Parlophone.

Thanks. Still doesn't quite explain how and why it was released as a single on Parlophone. A mystery there, unless all EMI records were on Parlophone over there? They all are now of course... everywhere!

In Great Britain it was the B-side of Run Billy Run, on EMI.

From Peru I know of the following singles:

Shindig / The Drum Number (Odeon 45-9530)
Jungle Jam / Trun Around And Touch Me (Parlophone 494)
Stand Up Like A Man / Let Me Be The One (Parlophone 547)
Honourable Puff-Puff / Run Billy Run (Parlophone 588 and re-issued Parlophone 01.18.50588)
Another Night / Cricket Bat Boogie (Parlophone 01.18.50628)

Your guess that all EMI releases could be on Parlophone is correct. That the 1960s single was released on Odeon was quite common in South America as the label Columbia could not be used avoiding conflicts with the established US label of this name.

I hope this is of help.

I thought by 1975 Parlophone wasn't really active as much as most acts seemed to appear on EMI. Not sure.

Very interesting. Thanks. So the Shadow were on Parlophone (overseas) in the 1970s. I've learned something new!
