I went into You Tube yesterday and typed the above in and a video appeared however this one had 203,000 views whereas the usual one had, in previous searches, in excess of 4 million views.

It is such an iconic video that it is a pity that the proper number of views is not recorded for the band.

Does anyone know how this has happened as I am not familiar with the workings of You Tube.

Thanks

These videos have usually been uploaded by people who have footage in their private collections. Every now and again, different people upload the same footage, taken from different sources and registered under different captions. Every uploaded video gets its own view counter.

Sometimes people repost videos so they appear in more lists that show new content and then get more exposure. Don't worry about it. Like the music charts these days, YouTube views don't count for anything. Just enjoy the music!
