Thank you for sharing these links. Great to see Alan getting the British Empire Medal last June, with his family and Brian Bennett there as well. I have read somewhere else that he wasn't able to speak anymore, following a stroke.

HI

I knew Alan well when he was in the Shadows. I saw a lot of their Cabaret gigs He was a lovely man and so talented. RIP Alan and thanks for the great music.

Sad news about Alan...my condolences to his family. Must be especially sad for Brian as they were great friends. I love his piano/organ playing with The Shads and Marvin, Welch, Farrar in the early '70s and have fond memories of the first KPM Allstars gig...around 2007? Here's another obit...from The Guardian.
