This is truly superb- difficult to imagine that this beautiful tune could translate to solo jazz guitar!!

I'm surprised that there hasn't been more of a response to Jake Reichbart's guitar skills.

I realise that pure solo jazz guitar may not have a wide appeal but this classy version of Wonderful Land doesn't deviate from the tune or the arrangement.

Anyone know why this God has his bridge pickup completely covered in blue electricians tape ?

Might be to stop his fingers catching the pickup whilst picking ? ... I know Steve Vai used a bit of tape on the lower edge of his PU's to stop the plectrum digging in at the pickup . Excellent playing picking tune out of chords just like my guitar tutor showed me  I tried picking WL a few years back but mainly used the first position chords and it does work well as this version proves and judging by your skills Ecca you should be well capable of doing this one on your new L5... no excuses now :D :)

I asked him what the tape was for and..... there's no pick-up there.... the tape covers the hole, he broke the pick-up !
So now we know.

I do a picking version of Wonderful Land which I put a bit of up here a couple of years back, it isn't in the league of Jake Reichbart though.

You're right Rog..... what a surprising disinterest in this.
Am awful lot of soundfiles are described as fantastic... amazing....awesome... and yet this version... which fills all the preceding descriptions....is all but ignored.
