Hi all,

At the start picture of "my resistance is low" of the Shadowers you can see an amp.head London City a dutch brand. This amp was specially used by Jet Harris on baritone and normal strat. For the technicians: this is an unique amp. It' s 300Watts at 8 ohm all valve. The poweramp has SIX !!KT88 valves, splendid. Together with a 4 speaker cabinet (Jensen designed speakers by Bugera) it souds very good. The price for this set would be 1200 Euro's.

Hi Peter,

There were some large Hammond type cabinets that were used with organs
in large buildings, Ice Rinks Etc, they were called PR150's and had three seperate
channels, Bass, Treble and Treble Reverb, they used 6 KT88's I have a mains transformer here
from one of these amps!

Jet, Nigel (Jet's producer) and I were all wondering which amp Jet was going to use. It was nice to see, on entering the performance room, that that matter had been resolved. Peter, if you were responsible for providing that amplifier, then thank you. It sounded great and meant I had one less job to do before the set!

Thanks for posting, Kitty.
I'm curious to know how Alan, Jet, and Licorice get paid....at least for their expenses.

If they do it gratis, their dedication to the music is commendable! 8-)

Hello Justin, Amanda

Responsible for the use of the amp of Jet was Mike's music shop in Haarlem (NL), represents London City guitars and amps, not me.
In the amp are two transformers, a "normal" and an solenoid (ringkern in Dutch), very heavey. Probably the output transformer is the solenoid one. I found surfing on internet an Irish company, having such kind of outputtransformer
