Hmm...

My son is currently in New Mexico (with Tony Chan) and is travelling to New Jersey in a few days' time. If he can't get a flight at the end of the week, he'll be absolutely overjoyed at the prospect of an extra week in New York...

Tony is a great ambassador for the great state of New Mexico!

George is thinkng about buying another plane, this time an ultralight. He already has a Moody Tiger. Trouble is, if I fly the Tiger and he flies the ultralight we can only carry a max of 5 passengers. Sorry about that, I guess you'll just have to wait for the volcano to stop it's nonsense. Either that or make yourself a "gossamer albatross"

It's lovely and quiet here in Birmingham,
no aircraft - Birmingham Airport is 5 miles in a straight line from me!

No noisy Police helicopter!!

Just loads of Birds!

Birds all over Western Europe must be in a euphoric state.

John Jorgenson has a gig in Glasgow on Thursday night.

He is currently in Vancouver.

Fingers crossed...

It gets worse...

Although James' flight (Friday 23rd April) may still fly, his fellow conference-going workmate (a company recent recruit whose flight was originally booked for Monday 19th and has now been cancelled) cannot get a new airline booking till May.

They might (as a pair) be stranded in the USA (probably NYC) for several weeks. The company is talking of renting them an apartment...

To think... when we were kids, George, we only had to worry about the time of night when the 19A bus stopped running...

Whatever happened to the proverbial "slow boat" here and there? Surely, some freighter from New York must be leaving for England, no? Or am I lost in the Humphrey Bogart '40s?

The Danish travel agency StarTour is sailing/flying their guests from the Greek Islands and Mallorca to Airports in South Europe.
From there they will be transported back to Denmark in busses.
Perhaps I should count on the ferry from Esbjerg to Harwich, when I go to Shadowmania :-)
