'Shadsfax 58 due soon, the last ever issue of the Shadows fanzine. I've decided not to press ahead with a replacement Shadows magazine and will concentrate on my latest project, The Ventures International Review. Issue 2 of Ventures mag is due in two weeks'.

Personally I'm pretty gutted about this - Shadsfax has been such a fabulous resource over the last 15 years...superb writing, interesting articles from all manner of people connected with, or interested in the shads, interviews, and always the best of photos. I know that it has been a hell of a lot of work for Tony - often without a lot of thanks - but just want to put on record my appreciation for Tony's endeavours in promoting Shadows Music and for being a great friend.

Tony - you're a legend.

Yep totally agree. Always been glad to receive a copy. Good reading,& good size - easy to fit in yer pocket! Just great!

Yep, me too. Although if Uncle Tony is happy with this new direction then good luck to him. 15 years of Shadsfax is enough to burn anybody out and I wish him all the best with his new Ventures, um, Venture.

All credit to Tony for his work on Shadsfax over the years, and an impressive start with the new Ventures mag.

We are also fortunate to have New Gandy Dancer ( now at issue 93) and Pipeline (issue 83 just out) flying the flag for guitar instrumentals.
