Hi all

Looking for a practise amp that will take bt's & also has a headphone socket (as well as guitar ) line out would be useful as well.

Not fussy about make or "solid state" etc... but must be of a "compact" size.

I've had a DA5 in the past & while it's a great little amp it runs out of steam if a bt is played through it as well, so perhaps need to be looking at 10w ( or possibly a little more) ?

Already been suggested are the Fender "G dec" & Roland "Cube"

S/hand is fine as it's just to play around with & not looking for top quality sound, (low cost is also a desirable virtue)

Any ideas ?

Whatever you settle on, I suggest you don't buy it till you've seen, tried and discarded the Fender G-DEC 30. I can't speak for the latest one, but I have one from 2 years back, and for a 'do all' - it does. Lines in, out, MIDI, USB, 2 inputs, amp modelling, sample backing tracks, effects, tuner etc etc. You can even compose and record on it with limitations and change the key of the backing tracks! Rumour has it Uncle Tom Cobley has one. When wound up its digital soul shows through, but for 'domestic dreaming' I love mine. For Shads I used to select Blackface 2 Amp, Blue House guitar setting, amp tone on 8, and 'none' for effects because I assume you'll be using a Magicstomp, Zoom, Q2 with Charlie Hall's patches. This I am led to believe is an all singing all dancing practise amp plays Cd backing tracks , a friend of mine who has one has told me
he can even change the key of the backing track its 30w and is loud enough for a practise hall and played at lower volume's in the home
still sounds great. I think they are around £300. allthough my friend bought his (new) for £220 Tascam GA 30D combo.

Apparently the Tascam is now a discontinued item..might be difficult finding one.
