Well 2010 just keeps getting better Down Under.
We had The Shadows & Cliff celebrating their Reunion, now we get Tommy & Phil celebrating their 50th Anniversary.
Touring throughout Oz with Sydney having two shows 9th & 10th December. 9th is already sold out.
I know it's a big ask but anyone heading out here for our Summer?
Great opportunity to see what promises to be a fantastic night of guitar genius at work!
The guys are being supported by Phil's daughter Jesse and backed by "The T.E. Allstar Band."
No details of band lineup yet but knowing Tommy & Phil they won't be using anything but The Best available.
Cheers for now, Ian. :D

Ian - although I'm more used to Tommy playing his solo acoustic shows - I did see the clip of them both playing at the Sydney Olympics - Terra Firma. It was brilliant.

Hope you enjoy the show.

All the best
Bernie

Bernie if you liked "Terra Firma" you should take a look at Youtube.
There are several items there you may be interested in.
Cheers, Ian.

I would give my right arm to be at one or more of the shows...oh, wait, maybe not the whole arm, but I will be exceedingly jealous of anyone else who's able to be there. My best hope I guess is that they come up with a DVD somewhere along the line.

I wish Phil was more open to traveling, cos I'm sure it would be possible to set up quite a few North American gigs, (Canada included.)

Martin if you want to ask Phil re potential for USA/Canada it's quite easy to get in touch with him.
Just go to his official website and click on "contact."
His manager (Dee) is usually really happy to help fans with enquiries.
Hope this helps.
All the best, Ian.

Thanks Ian, but my understanding is that Phil isn't at all keen on flying - I maybe wrong about this as it was something I was told a while back, and you may have heard the stories about age and memory. 8-) As far as I know though he has never been to N.A.

Tommy, as you may know, spends a good bit of his time over here and in fact we booked him for The Toronto Shadows Club six years ago when he put on quite the show!

Cheers

Martin
