Spotted this on e-bay with the quote "The best tribute I have ever heard"- Hank B Marvin. Played by Brian "Mr Guitar" Marvin, has anyone ever heard it?

Hi Philip don't know for sure ,but i would be think this is maybe a CDR as it states it the disc can be personalised with your own name?

I know a lady who bought this from Ebay and her name was printed on the label, it certainly is a CDR, not a very good tribute some of the sound files
on this site are much better.
I think this player used to tour as "The Hank Marvin Experience" in the clubs.
Not one to buy
sorry
Rob

I have to be honest, this is not the type of CD that I would buy. It was the "Endorsement" by Hank that intrigued me.

The only things that I am aware of that Hank himself has ENDORSED are Easy Mute Tremlo and the UB Hank Bts where he said
"This is the best idea I never had"
I am sure he would not endorse this Cd, its not that good.

I would have thought that a guitarist of the calibre required to be "endorsed" by HBM himself would be known to us on here in some way.
If you think this is a fake or mis-use of HBMs name etc etc, don't moan about it, do what I did and e-mail Adam And Eve Records and ask for supporting information and report it in to eBay as a Fake.
cheers
ian

Well Richard I must appologise to you if I am wrong but this guy Brian Marvin could also be using the title "The Hank Marvin Experience" he has obviously
quoted that Hank has said that he "Is the best tribute Hank has heard" which I think is total Bo***cks, and it does say that on the Cd cover
He also prints the name of the purchaser on the label I have one of these Cds, I would not reccomend it to anyone, as I have said there are better sounding files on this site than the way they are played on this Cd.

There was something on Ebay some time ago involving a Liverpool chap and his hoppo who he claimed played with Jet Harris back in the 60s, they were playing Shadows tunes and their claim was " Better Than Hank Marvin" I wonder if there is any connection ?

My comment about the name "The Hank Marvin Experience" was not meant to offend you, but if this is your stage profile, I would look into it to make sure
this guy is not using your name, although I dont know what you could do about it if he were ?

Hi Rob, there was no offence taken on my part, however, THE HANK MARVIN EXPERIENCE is my stage name and also my email address. If there is another guy using the same stage name there nothing I can do about it, however, I agree with you people should not encourage this guy by buying the cds and I would think Hank has not endorsed this person in any shape or form. The problem is, their are several people who try to pass off cds as either Hank or The Shadows and I doubt wether they pay royalties on their sales, which has been a topic of converstion on this forum many times, especially if they are bts which have been produced by members of this site.
regards Richard
