paypal/ebay issue

Hi all

I thought I had bought a guitar from a seller who seemed genuine, almost 300 feedbacks @100%.

After 11 days he had not despatched the guitar (various excuses) so I opened a "resolution" with paypal.
Now I have to wait a further 10 days to see if he will condescend to dispatch the guitar before paypal will take further action

The weather has only been an issue for the last couple of days (delivery vans have been in our estate yesterday & today in the NE) the seller lives in an area that has not been affected that much.

My question is :- has anybody been through this paypal "resolution" process ?
Did you get a satisfactory result ?

I'm assured that because I used paypal to purchase I'm covered by the buyer protection agreement, but the withdrawal of my cash for what looks like being a few weeks is to say the least annoying

Yes, I was involved once and I got my money back but I had to wait for sixteen days until Paypal act.

Hi Dick,

I have had a PayPal resolution already several times, in all cases successfully for me. Okay, it took some time: you have to wait a certain amount of days before you can file a claim, then the seller has his ten days to react. In the end I either got the item I bought on eBay or I got my money back.

I did when I bought through eBay an item which the seller never sent to me, and I was refunded by Paypal in the end, but it takes at least a month.

There has been some progress & I have (another) promise of despatch for tomorrow (Wednesday) & 24 hour delivery

I too have had ocassion to use the Paypal resolution process always to my complete satisfaction.
The downside as previously mentioned, it takes time.

In the two disputes, I have had, I receved all monies, inc postage, back from paypal. Very good service from them.

I was successful with my complaint and got my money back, 2 days later the item arrived (from Canada)!! so had to refund the refund
