That's the 1960 LP "Me And My Shadows". It's been released on CD at least three times...

Hello Rich Jim Nugent is right it is a re issue of 'Me and my Shadows' I have it on a double CD, but I bet you love it
it is Cliff at his best, and Hanks guitar sounds just fabulous, and what a great price for such great tracks which I would think
unless you had the original album, you would stand little chance of getting them again. But you have enjoy Rich as I am sure you will

Keep in mind that this album "Me and my Shadows" by Cliff & the Shads (their best one in my mind) was released by EMI in october 1960, so it's now over 50 years old, and anyone can reissue it without having to get a license from EMI...

Hi Trayc,
I must admit it is one of my favourites, scary to think that it's 50 years old though!!!

If as has been suggested by Didier these recordings are no longer in copyright to EMI, so does this mean that Cliff and The Shadows will no longer receive royalties from these recordings? So whoever reissues these recordings only need pay MCPS because the copyright in the recording has now run out. I assume that is how it will work. Does anybody know? Strange to think that you can work for 50 years to promote your records and then when you get to a pensionable age and probably need the income those records will generate, that anyone can come along and take it away for their own benefit not yours.I read in the Guardian that Bruce was one artist recently pushing for a change to copyright law. Seems like he failed.
