Several months ago, there were enquiries on this board about copies of the book "That Sound!", written (in English!) by Roberto Pistolesi, Malcolm Addey and Maurizio Mazzini, published in 2000 by Vanni Lisanti.

Copies had been stocked by Leo's Den and were available from the writers, but Roberto's death nearly five years ago prevented any publication of an updated edition. Since then, stocks have been dwindling.

A few enquiries were made directly to Malcolm over the last few months, but the cost of transatlantic shipping was making the overall price prohibitive - up around the £60 mark in total.

I now have the remainder of Malcolm's stocks - a whole four copies - here, and they are available for £30 each plus the cost of local postage (which should be considerably less than the cost of airmail from New York).

PS: They come complete with the sixteen-track demonstration CD recorded by Maurizio Mazzini. These are proper pressed CDs, not CD-Rs.

Sorry about the delay in responding, everyone. I got back from New York on Saturday morning with a terrible cold and have been laid low over the last day or two, only able to post selectively on my laptop.

The first four to respond were Maurice, lefje, Chas and Paul Balmer (the man who writes the guitar manuals for Haynes). As it happens, I know three of the four personally.

Next: I'll price up the postage.

Lefje: please pm me your address asap so that I can get the correct internation rate, please.

Then I'll seek payment from you four (£30 + packing + postage), on receipt of which I'll put the books in the mail. Would you like recorded delivery or registered mail, or just the ordinary post? It's up to you.

Seeing that there is a demand for the book with more modest postal charges, would anyone like me to see about getting a stock in from the Pistolesi family in Tuscany? I could try...

But whereas I just brought the other four over from New York in my luggage, there's bound to be some shipping expense in getting a batch of the books here from Italy.

Hi Guys,

I have sold these books in the past too as the Dutch UB Hank Club. The books where sourced directly from Roberto. I have one brand new copy left that I'm happy to part with. I will only send it through registered mail since I can't replace it if it goes missing. I think it'll be something like GBP 35,- including shipping in the EU. If anyone is interested then PM me.
