Shadows Go Movie (Scopitone)
The Shadows have scored another first - starring in the very first video.disc': a technicolour promotional film made for use both on television and the specially designed video juke-boxes that have begun appearing in the bars of selected French and Italian costal holiday resorts.

Surely the filmed performance will have been the now-familiar monochrome promo clip of the group miming to Apache?

It's the same hat he was wearing in the clip. He must have been very attached to it at the time :)

Cheers.

The timelines are interesting regarding the amps which were used around that period. Some say that the AC30 was used during the recording of Apache and others (including me) say it was an AC15.

Apache was recorded and released in July 1960 and the mimed footage of Apache was filmed on 28th September 1960 (2 months later)and it's clear from the video clips that AC15's were still being used by the group at least as props. :D
