Hi All

Hope this has'nt been mentioned before.

Saw in Asda a new Cliff/Shadows cd, WHITE 232. Price £3.00

Cd1 is Cliff with a mixture of old live and studio recordings.

Cd2 is The Shadows, all live, 20 tracks.

There is no sleeve notes.
There is no talking, or introduction between tracks, just applause.
The only "speaking" is, when some one says, "come on, everybody" as Summer Holiday starts, one of the three vocal tracks.

I would be very interested to know when this live cd was origanialy recorded, if any one knows.

Hi Tim,

The Cliff live tracks are all from the 'Oh Boy' shows. They are taken from the EMI LP "Jack Good's 'Oh Boy!'" (Parlophone PMC 1072, 1958).
The Shadows tracks are excerpts from the "Final Tour" CD.

Thanks for that, still think its strange they took out all the introductions to the songs.

Hi All, Does anyone have any more info on this CD? I have looked in my local Asda and on their website and no sign of it anywhere. I know it's all old stuff but, with no other new releases I'm desperate for something else.

The 2CD set originates from Holland. Perhaps you can try Leo's Den.

Hi Jim,
All I can say is that I noticed this CD completely by chance one day before it was mentioned here. I was visiting my daughter in Newcastle & the CD was certainly on sale in the enormous ASDA near the Metro Centre. If you have no joy elsewhere I could probably persuade to find a copy the next time she's in there!

These CDs must be working their way down the UK from the north . . . . they certainly don't appear to have reached Asda in Kent yet!
