Shadows Celebration

Hi All

I bought my ticket this morning at around 10.30 I'm on table 23, where that is I have no idea, but the phone was going all the time I was there and there was a healthy heap of booking slips, I'm away for the other event so I'm pleased to catch this one.

There seems to be a North South divide as to where the venue should be, I accept that it's a long way for those in the north and Scotland, on the other hand probably half the population of the UK live in the south and south east and from the numbers of people in the past down here who couldn't get tickets I would imagine that even with the other event it'll probably sell well enough.

Perhaps there should be two, one at Lakeside and one at somewhere up north, Blackpool, Manchester, Sheffield - where's The Crucible?

As for timing it's the usual weekend, not that they have rights on the date or anything.

But I'm glad I've got my ticket - see you there

Geoff

I booked my ticket by phone yesterday. Not sure what table I'm on yet until the ticket arrives. Lakeside is only a 20 minute train ride away for me so it's nice and handy! I look forward to meeting up with other Shadows fans again this September :D

ShadowsFix and Lakeside are not the only events available. There's a Sat-Sun Gala event in Scarborough 15-16 June preceded by a Friday show on 14th in Pickering. Details on the East Yorks Club page.

Other clubs put on similar occasions.

Thanks to enthusiastic members of this site there's plenty of Shadowy stuff going on. All you need do is support it :)

All the best! Iain

Thanks for the info Iain. It's great to know that there are events like this going on up and down the country giving us Shadows enthusiasts the opportunity to meet up and enjoy the music together. :D

Distance isn't really the issue this time, Geoff, it's more the time for me.

I happily travelled for Shadowmania and will still do so for Pipeline as long as I can. I just think it's unfortunate that the Lakeside event is so close to the Shadowsfix one (for which I had already booked tickets). Coming from Scotland makes it a three day / two night trip at least. You never know, though...
