I've got every (UK) tour programme from 1977 to 1990 and I have a feeling that there are only a couple of years missing; without checking, my guess would be 1985 and possibly 1988. I know that Alan Jones was badly injured in a car crash in '88, so it's just possible that this may have scuppered any tour for that year. They did release two albums in 1989 and definitely toured. Without checking them, that's the best I can do. I also have an Australian tour programme from 1984/85, which I'm sure bears a strong similarity to the UK 1984 tour brochure. For some reason, my favourite brochures are those from 1979 and 1980.

The Shadows toured in 1987 to promote "Simply Shadows".

Wow, great little selection of pics. The only one I haven't got is the spring 1980 one, which of course was the european leg of the 1979 String of Hits tour, with George Ford on bass. Mind you, I've got the Rotterdam gig on video, so that makes up for it!!!
