Thanks for the great comments everyone.
It was originally written by an American called Don Freed but I made a few amendments and additions to cater for the, how should I say it, more cultured Northern English palate.

Crikey Alan, you created something that appeals even to the totally non cultured non Northern English, Aussie (at least us cultured ones) palate (is that like one of my Grandma's dinner plates or heaven forbid her teeth ??)
