MARY'S BOY CHILD

Hi Everyone, Here's my Christmas contribution! Mary's Boy Child. I sort of followed Bony M but ended up going my own way and just kept adding tracks. I had a lot of fun recording it, I hope you all have as much fun listening to it.
I used my usual gear, 82 Strat, Boss compressor, Super Chorous, my new toy eTap2Engineer with the Binson setting along with the Double echo plug in in Cubase on some tracks. Fender PJ bass, Tanglewood Jumbo on two rythmn tracks and Groove Agent on drums

Hi Charles
I remember your 2006 version of this. This is a whole lot cleaner and a whole lot more Fun!!
Very Country and twangy. Must be using that Encore Strat again - LOL!!
Loved the use of those open string notes + fretted notes on the next string (dont know what the technique is called).
Top class double tracking and yes I did clock the Hank massive split bends (a la Man Of Mystery etc) in the background!
Brill
cheers
Ian

Hi Charles,
I really enjoyed this - As Ian says very C&W . I like the bottom E string note at 19sec - that fits so well !! magic
I've come over all Christmaseee and saved it in my Christmas folder.
Very well played and a great arrangement.

Thankyou all, I really appreciate your comments although I believe my Christmas post was a bit early, or was it too late for last year!!
