“Love changes Everything” a song from the musical Aspects of Love, originally sung by Michael Ball. Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The Shadows recorded an instrumental version which first appeared on their “Reflection” album of 1990 and later included on “Hank Marvin & The Shadows play the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice in 1997.

I used my Fender Stratocaster Custom 56 nos fitted with Kinman Impersonator 54 V3 pickups on bridge position.

Sound recorded using Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP echoes from the past patch 0-36 into soundcard and Cubase on the computer (no amp used) Dunlop DVP 1 foot pedal.
Video made using 3 x Sony SR12's and edited with the Cubase sound in Sony Vegas video editing software.

The Backing track came from Roger Allcock’s CD “Backing a Favourite”
Available along with 11 other BT CD’s from http://www.vintage-sounds.co.uk/cds/
Roger also has Tabs for all his CD’s.

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil
Another Beauty from "Reflection".
The tone on your Impersonator Strat sounds more mellow than previous. Have you been messin'?
Lovely playing and phrasing. Those last three notes using the swell pedal (high reg G,A,Bb) give me goosebumps and are right on the money!
Many thanks Phil
cheers
Ian

Hi Ian - Thanks for the nice comments - On previous ones using the Impersonators I've tried different tone settings on the guitar - This time full treble and just the bridge pickup. I was going to record this one with Renato Vignocchi's BT which I bought the CD for London Kid - then I remembered Roger has done this one and I got on better with his.
Any excuse to use the Vol pedal. LOL

All the best... Phil

Thanks very much Roger for the nice comment and for the BT - It was an easy transition from playing along with Hank
to playing along with your BT which is a bonus.

All the best... Phil

After what I said about 'Wind Beneath My Wings' being the wrong choice as an instrumental, this tune of Phil's sets the example of what does work - it's got dynamics and light & shade, it just doesn't drone on and on. Nice work Phil. :)
