From Hank Marvin's new album "Hank" released on Monday 2nd June 2014
This is my cover of Waterloo Sunset. (Originally a vocal by The Kinks)
The Backing Track made by my son Andrew is available to purchase here :- http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk/CD.html
The Tabs are free to download here :- http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk/scores.html

Using my Alan Brason Strat with Kinman FV-HMS pickups on bridge position.

Sound recorded using Alesis Quadraverb Q2 programmed with echoes from the past (EFTP) patch 1-66 (Abbey road reverb) into Cubase. No Amp used.
Additional EQ and effects added within Cubase.

Video made with 3x Sony SR12 camcorders and edited with the Cubase sound in Sony Vegas pro 9.

A great new album from Hank so hope to record some more tracks from it in time.

Cheers Phil

Thanks for the great comment Ian - Hank tends to miss off notes (on purpose) that would normally be there.
It's remembering where is does this Lol.
Very glad you liked it, just got to learn it without the tabs now.
All the best... Phil

Fantastic tone and playing as usual. Backing track is a credit to Andrew - what a team! Super upload.

Thanks very much Spike for your nice comments and glad Gary & Paul liked it too.
Wouldn't it be great if Hank decided to release a BT CD of his new album like he did with Marvin Mastertrax which incidentally have all sold out :-( (I know there's all the copyright permissions and whether it would be viable etc ) but it would make a lot of people very happy. All the best... Phil

Hi Fred - Thanks for the great comments which I always appreciate.
Cheers Phil

Thank John - I appreciate it ! - There's a couple of tracks on the album which are perfect for your style and I know you would make excellent covers of.

Hi Phil,

I've not heard the album yet but if it's anything as good as that I might be tempted.

Kind regards,

Terry
