A cine film clip popped up the other day, on Youtube, of my first band The Jaguars, completely out of the blue, 50 years on as part of a school film.
I never realised it existed so put it alongside some photos and made a video .
It may take some of you old timers, like me, back a bit.......

That Hollick & Taylor record brought back memories for me. We recorded four tracks there, Lucille, You Better Shop Around.........
Dammit, I can't remember but I''m sure I still have a copy somewhere, just need to dig it out...

Hi Ecca,
I really enjoyed watching that, looked like exactly the sort of band i would have loved to have been in when i was in my teens

. Unfortunately in the 90's, when i was in my teens, all my friends were either into dance music or heavy metal

Meanwhile i was trying to dress as close to Gene Vincent, in the 50's, as was possible, and trying to learn Rock N Roll songs on my acoustic

I think i missed out on all the fun, pity i wasn't born a few decades before.
Bets Wishes to you and all the other Hankies
Ryan

HI,Was that with the StormBreakers Noel,I seem to recall Keith Gudger had a copy and I heard it around a mutual friends house,.I think I can match that Ecca,I managed to get a copy of a single that I had recorded in 1976 of E bay.One of my sons found it on German E bay and when I looked there was also a copy in Holland on Maritim New label.I had to pay £12 plus postage, and there was one on the week after, and he,d put the price up to about £15.It just goes to show I wrote it,had to pay the recording cost for the flipside, which was really a demo disc recorded at Zella stubios in Birmingham, travel to London to record it in Denmark Street (its now a music shop,I think),pay the photography cost for the photo sleeve,I could go ,and what did I get out of it SWEET F A(that's Fanny Adams to the great unwashed and a much ruder version to punk rockers like you Ecca). They were great days, but not all the time.Strat 21 GEG

PS Just looked again on ebay, theres still a copy on,but its now £12 01 and postage of £5 20.It probably cost him peanuts to buy,and he,s making a profit on the postage and packaging.About £10 profit, and that's £10 more than I ever made out of it ,good innit.GEG

Wonderful memories, Ecca. Classy video production -who kept all the press cuttings?
Nice bit of 8mm there. Nostalgia and happy memories by the bucket load.
Thanks Ecca
Ian

Tony, the singer's Dad and our manager kept all the cuttings originally and they've been in my custody for about 20 years now.
I'd forgotten that my Dad made me a brass scratch plate and had it chrome plated and polished and it shows, you can see it shining.
We played on the tele and the b******s sprayed it with a wax to stop it blacking the cameras out which, of course ,I'd soon discovered as soon as we stood in front of the monitors and then deliberately did it all the more for the sake of mischief.
This wax took all the tone out of the strings quick as a flash.
What a good quality, colour cine film !
