This one came out of Nowhere. A simple, yet lovely tune by Gerry Marsden and The Pacemakers from 1964, so more than 50 years old.
This version is a slightly different approach to the song - a bit more chordy than the original, and was inspired by Paul Carrack's version. He was singing this at a “Gig” he did in Germany at a friends house. Some friend – Martin Ernst and his All Stars!! (The whole hours performance is on YT – this track is early on – about 5 minutes in. - I commend it to The House - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lV4wAtsrF_4 ).
Before I knew it, my guitar was in my hands (its been in its case for more than a month cos I's bin sick!) and I was running the chords. I had played this many many times in the 60's so wasnt too hard but for this version they are dressed them up a bit in Maj7ths, 9 'ths and Sus's. Lol!.

This is one of the vocal numbers we do in our show, you did a great instrumental version of it Ian, you played it with the same feeling as the man himself, a good example of a song that works as an instro, good sound too.

Hi Phil - yes- the inspiration came from that Paul Carrack "Party" video. BIAB came in very handy I must say, cos there is no way I could have made the BT otherwise.

Hi Dave - you know how I tend to muck around with songs but not this one. To me this version had the same intensity and "feeling" as the original and suited the new arrangement. I'm glad you agree.
