Here is the file after some good advice from members . . . lead lower in the mix, "a tad more echo" and a little more "dirt" . . .

I would be happy to hear your comments.

Cheers,

Excellent Bojan, timing/latency slightly out early on, but when you got into it, Fabulous !!.

Hello Bojan,
Are you sure that's you? ;-)
A really well done soundfile, and so close to the original.
Mind you, you did have the best instro backing band available.
Please keep them coming. Just loving that eTap.
Cheers,
JB

Hi Bojan
Absolutely marvellous ,this is really as close to the original as I have ever heard and to think
you have achieved it using your eTap2hw and of course your talented playing and recording
skills, Kon Tiki is one of the Shadows classics and for you to emulate it here is outstanding

Regards
Pete

Thank you everyone for commenting on my sound file. Yes John, I agree the "backing track" is the best possible !! :D

As I wrote on another forum, I used the same recording, but added some echo to the lead track and slightly lowered the lead volume in response to earlier comments and suggestions. But let me tell you what I did to add more echo. Since my original lead track was not dry, in other words, the eTap2hw echo was already part of the recorded lead track, the only way I was able to add more echo without re-recording was by adding some echo from the eTap2 vst plugin, which is basically the same echo as I used on the eTap2hw. So, I took my initial lead track recorded with eTap2hw and added some more echo from the eTap2 plugin (Kon Tiki patch, of course) to keep the echo "in the family," so to speak . . . and this is the result.

Anyway, I'm really glad you approve.

Cheers,
Bojan

Hi Bojan, I didn“t get a chance to listen to this new version on a decent sound equipment until now, so a little late comment from me also; I am really impressed by the tone of the guitar which is so near spot on that is possible, I think. It amazes me, as I said before, that you get this tone from the middle PU only, as most people I know use the bridge PU for the main theme and the middle PU for the chord rakes.
I notice a little difference between the two versions between 1.14 - 1.18 (the first chord rakes after the solo) where the former version had a thinner, more bridge type of sound, now also sounds like the middle PU.
