Happy Christmas.
This is my seasonal offering – a classic, thoroughly traditional Christmas carol - “Away in a Manger”. My grateful thanks to Robin Woods (cvfilms) for suggesting this to me – many thanks mate!!
In the UK the Carol is sung to a tune called ‘Cradle Song’ written in 1895 by William Kirkpatrick. Its in 3/4 tempo and I have experimented with the Arrangement in Verse 3 – I hope it meets with your approval.
The backing track is mine, made in BIAB. Available via PM if anyone wants it.
The guitars is my 2004 MIJ 57 Re-Issue, neck pickup– Zoom2000EFTP patch36 – Korg Ampworks – AC30 – direct to Cakewalk GTPro2..
Happy Christmas and a Happy, peaceful and prosperous New Year.
See you all again in 2010.

Hi Ian,
Nicely done.
Keep debating whether to go for BIAB or something similar. How straightforward is it to use and how limited are you by its preset sounds? Do you need a keyboard to create the strings etc accompaniment?

Keep 'em coming and hope you have a great Christmas too.

Cheers,
Martyn

Happy Christmas Ian - that was a lovely recording to get me in the mode for christmas shopping.
Very smooth playing and great tone, along with the excellent backing track makes it one to save in my christmas folder.
