Well, someone had to do it!!
Silent Night - The perfect Christmas song, perfectly executed.
That amazing voice again and the arrangement (By Andrew? if so Congatulations!!) contains those 'special' chords at the end of each verse, that makes the last line (that follows) so poignant.
The double voicing is clever and fits wonderfully well.
Hard to believe that the tune was originally written in a Pub for a wager.
Into my Christmas album to be played on Christmas Day.
Superb isnt good enough to describe this sound file.
Merry Christmas Phil, Andrew and Lisa

I totaly and absolutley agree with Ian. Superb is an understatement. I am gobsmacked.
I simply can't think of an adjective to do it justice.
Thank you so much for the posting,(and on my Birthday too) and to all those involved and of course to Lisa for such a beautiful rendition. It will certainly be played on Christmas Day (and every day in the run up).

Cheers and a Merry Christmas to all
Brian

I hadn't heard that it was written in a pub for a wager :? It was written by an Austrian priest and first performed in an Austrian church. What is even more interesting is that it was composed for guitar accompaniment :) Not too many carols specifically written for guitar.

Well done Family McGarrick (featuring Lisa)

Hi Phil

Brilliant version of that favourite Christmas carol. Lisa has a wonderful voice and sings great harmonies. I enjoyed it very much as I did 'Over the Rainbow' earlier.

I trust that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed 2010.

Regards
Len
