Hi All,

I hope you are all doing Ok.
I would like to thank all the Waterlooville Shadows club folks for the warm welcome and for their help in making
my short journey in UK very pleasant last August. It was very nice seeing all the joyful members and Jim Nugent and Gillian
who made the trip and took us around to see the beautiful of the South.

I haven't posted a video for a while.
I wanted to play Sway with the Mexican Strat I won a few month ago in a drawing at Joe's in Burbank.

I just got back from work and forgot to take off the small yellow envelop from my shirt pocket containing
a Clippers vs Phoenix Basketball game ticket for my son.
Then, in the middle of the song, I am surprised by my wife just getting back from work. The inconvenience of an improvised ... live take.
I am still not used to playing with this guitar fitted with lighter strings than usual for me.

I purchased the backing track online from Karaoke-version a UK based website.

I hope you like it,

Blessings to all from Southern Claifornia,
Abel

Hi Didier,

Great to see you Ok too.
I hope everyone is well at FDS.

I have a question for you if you are still around.
Without thinking too much, and on Danny Dean's advice (our Cliff Rockabilly singer), I just ordered a Baby Blue Stanley Echo pedal from UK.
It's been shipped 2 days ago.
Has anyone from FDS purchased one and what's their feedback on the unit.
I guess I should have asked people in both forums before buying it. I hope it's not a phony unit.

Thank you much.

Blessings,
Abel

A few FDS members bought the Stanley-FX echo pedal based on Piet Verburggen's eTap2-HW, but there aren't many comments about about the results yet. There has been more theorical discussions with huge imputs from Patrice Bastien.
If you have time Just come back to the FDS site and have a look at the "effects" thread.

Regards,

Didier

PS for others, FDS is the french forum "Fans des Shadows" which I have been running for ten years.

That prize Strat obviously went to a very worthy winner!

Hi Abel
Long time no see - or hear.
I LOVE live music. This is wonderful. All that hybrid picking and fast runs!! Phew!!!
Really enjoyed it.
Best regards

Hi all,
Glad you liked it,

I always feel bad after recording (I always record live) because it's never close to what I to do when I
am not recording.
It's funny and I guess psychological when you push that button. You realize then that people are looking
at you and you're basically handicapped and start playing awkwardly.

Blessings,
Abel

Hi Abel,

Very nice posting. I was only saying to Geoff Bearpark at last week's meeting if he had heard from you. Well now we have and very good too.

Cheers,

Bob
