Hello Shadows fans! I've again been absent from here for quite a while, my apologies. Probably most of you don't even know/remember me. My dad and I play in a Shadows tribute band the Troubadours, based out of Indiana, USA. We've been going since 2000, and still gig on occasion (September most recently). At Christmas the two of us enjoyed playing some of those pretty Shadows ballads so much we thought we'd record and share them. So, here you go: Peace Pipe, Back Home, Blue Star, All Day and The Lute Number. We hope you enjoy them and we wish you all a happy new year - may it be Shadows-filled! :)

Hi Ivan
Thanks for sharing your videos with us.
Very nice to see you and your Dad enjoying playing your guitars and creating some
Interesting tunes. This is what it's all about enjoying the pleasures of playing guitars
and producing some great sounds.
My Best wishes to you both for The New Year over there on the other side of the pond.

Pete

Hello Shadows fans! As it is now starting to become customary, my dad and I again recorded ourselves playing some Shadows ballads for Christmas. I'd like to share them with you, we think you will enjoy them. There are four new tracks: "Find Me a Golden Street", "The Breeze and I", "Little Princess" and "Blue Sky, Blue Sea, Blue Me". We wish you a very happy new year! The Shads Forever!

(BTW, here's the YouTube playlist with these four new tracks, as well as the five from last year: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... kGguE03rZv )

Hi Ivan... of course I remember meeting you at Shadowmania and I still have An Evening in Nivram. Good to hear from you again!

Great stuff as always Ivan! Really glad you and your Dad are still indulging yourselves in this music and doing it so well.
I'm having a major clear out at the moment and have just come across a DVD of The Troubadours at Toronto Shadowmania 2001 - and no, it won't be discarded; neither will my copy of An Evening in Nivram.
My very best wishes to you and your Dad for 2017.

Martin

Thank you so very much, Clarry, David and Martin, really appreciate your kind words! Martin, the Troubadours set from Shadowmania North American 2003 ihas actually been YouTube for a while:

And just a couple of months ago I finally posted Bruce's set (with Licorice on bass and Phil Kelly on lead), though it had to be done in four parts:

In the third part you can see Dane Carter, the drummer from the Troubadours as well as our surf band the Madeira, sit in with Bruce's band for Guitar Tango and a scorching version of The Savage. Check out his EXPLOSIVE fills towards the end of the song, (9:30) and how first Phil, then Bruce, then Licorice, all turn around to look at him in disbelief as they nod to each other! I was SO PROUD of my musical brother at that moment - he just nailed it! The whole set is very good, and Bruce is in particularly funny form!

Enjoy, and happy new year, all!
