FBI (as endorsed by Jet Harris - RIP)

Hi all,

I hope you are all doing well.
Some of you might remember 2009 Shadowmania and the Friday Social where Late Jet Harris made a comment
after hearing my unorthodox version of FBI.

Here is a live recording I did last night using only the guitar and the MagicStomp echo to the Fender Hot Rod Deville 4X10.

I hope you like it:

Blessings,
Abel

That's a particularly clever take on the old favourite, Abel. I'm as purist as anyone and I still love the original, but I thoroughly enjoyed your version. Am I right in assuming you have a strong Jazz influence?

I'm surprised you haven't had more compliments on this, you've certainly impressed me.

Regards,

Len

Hi Len and all,

Glad you liked my unorthodox version.

I love the originals too but sometimes, my imagination gets loose and I let my feeling translate the tune in weird ways.
When I played it in front of the late Jet Harris in 2009, I though he was going to get frustrated at me, instead, he said that "from now and on,
this is how I want FBI to be played, enough of doom do doom do doom do doom" (he was referring to the bridge part).

As a matter of fact, I don't have a Jazz background, but rather Rockabilly, Jump Blues or Swing.

You are probably new to this forum, but as you will soon discover, there are so many outstanding sound files posted every day, it's really hard for anyone to catch up
or listen to all of them.

Blessings,
Abel
