Lonesome Town

One of my favourite artists from the late 50s / early 60s was Ricky Nelson and it was a bonus to have some great guitar solos by James Burton.

This one being a slower tune didn't have a guitar solo, but I found that Paul McCartney did record a version with a solo.

This is a mixture of both versions and I hope that you like it.

Thank you for your kind replies Peter and Kurt.

Kurt I have long been a fan of the Ryders in which you play lead and your comments are much appreciated.

Wow!

We've recently started singing this song in our gigs but I'd never thought of giving it a Shadows feel. Works well, Roger!

Hi Roger
A really nice track. It works so well as an Instro.
Lovely Strat tone and a super BT too.
Loved the Bridge solo too. :)
Cheers

Very nice Roger. My sister had this on a Rick Nelson EP all those years ago and I always liked the tune.
Great sound, and very well played.

Cheers
Brian
