Hi all,
I just recorded these two classics in my home studio, using the VSPack (Vintage Sounds Package, VST plug ins) developed by Christian Boileau. Backin track is from UB Hank.
More info about the VSPack here: http://vintage-sounds.freeforums.net/

Hope you like it!
Kurt

your sound is great,I am just getting involved with the Shadows sound and finding out about VST ,I went to the Web site you indicated and downloaded the patches ,but I am confused as they talk about using the patches live ,by playing them thru an amplifier,I have only use patches thru my DAW ,I have the etap2 installed with Jpatches ,but can't get your sound ,In your video are you going thru an amplifier ,or thru a DAW and studio monitors. thanks

Hi JEL,
To answer your question regarding this video; I am going through a DAW and I record the lead guitar while the camera is running. I use the studio monitors just for monitoring. Then I add the recorded file (from DAW, lead + BT) to the video in my video editing program.
You should download the complete VSPackage from the web site and run the different patches through the VST Host application to get all the different sounds for different tunes correct. You dont need a DAW to run the patches through the VST Host. These patches are not only the correct echoes. They also include EQ, saturation, reverb etc. You can use the VST to play live with an amp. Just connect your analogue output from the guitar interface (USB/Midi) to your amp. But everything is described in detail on the web site I linked to in my original posting.

HI Kurt thanks for the info.I have just started playing guitar after 45 plus years away so everything other than the guitar has changed. I have downloaded the vst host as you suggested and have played the patches but have not done the equalitation on my guitar I am interested in playing thru my DAW like you are I have sonar platinum, and have etap2 engineer set up as a plugin ,it has the j patches installed .When you installed Va4 did you do it as a slave as in the literature? Or can you install it just as a vst plugin as I did the etap2? With Sonar platinum I also have overload TH3 which has Vox amps included. It would be great to be able to put the amps in the chain.

Great sounds....

I don't think I am unitelligent or thick, but try as I might I cannot understand the VSPackage, There doesn't seem to be any clear and simple instructions. It doesn't work with Cool Edit Pro or Adobe Audition and I have tried Audacity and Cakewalk also... and got absolutely nowhere, so I have given up....

Jim
