TRIBUTE TO JET-THEME FOR SOMETHING REALLY IMPORTANT

Sadly and unbelievably it is now 5 years today since Jet Harris, one of the original Shadows and coiner of the actual name, passed away. A true "character " in the music business, superb and often under-estimated musician, I met him only once and found him to be a pleasant, quietly charming man with a quick, dry and quirky sense of humour.
I know this is a Duane Eddy tune written for him by Jeff Lynne, but Jet made this his own in his stage show and it is somehow REALLY IMPORTANT today -

Jet - "Do you like Duane Eddy?".
Audience - " Yes!"
Jet - "Oh! I'd better play one of his then. Don't know why - he never plays any of mine.'

Enjoy and remember.

I remember at his last Shadowmania , he got his 'inhaler' out of his pocket (a fag) lit up on stage and said 'spose I'll get banned for this' !!.

Hi Iain
thanks for listening and your kind comment.
I have amended my Post - the BT was originally from the now closed OzzieTrax (Tony KIek) site but I did mess it about quite a bit.

Well, you can all have a gold star. That whole recording is a pro job and brings back good memories.

Hi Keith - thank you too.
Hi Iain - Yes, I like his "mile-a-minute" Live performance of this tune and fiddled with the BT to get it towards that.Everyone did a great job on this.
