Here's one of my favourite Everlys tunes - it's so simple and yet has a great chord sequence.

I seem to remember reading that Chet Atkins played the lead parts on some of their early recordings. The little sections of lead guitar compliment the tune so well in my opinion. I hope that you enjoy this version.

When you add this to your next Backin' CD can you include BTs with and without harmony guitar (I can then play a duet with Stratpicker).

"Backin' the Winners" would be a good name for a future CD.

Superb recording Roger !!
- One of my favourite Everly Brothers songs also.
Such a clear recording - the Gibbo on rhythm sounds lush - Great arrangement with the double stops and beautifully played.

Added to my RA folder.

Phil (McG) in view of the fact that the original was a vocal duet it just didn't occur to me to try playing the two parts in the form of double stops. Now that you've mentioned it, I've given it some thought and I believe that it was just as well because some of the intervals may have been a bit tricky in that key.

Phil (Risky) I will include versions with and without the harmony guitar - I think that it's really good fun playing with one person doing melody and one the harmony.

I'm pleased to hear that you both liked it.

Hi Rog - It just sounded so close and tight and without seeing you play it - I assumed it was double stops, but until you try playing it as you say don't know if it's possible.

Thanks for the replies.

Some while back Roger Childs from the Watford club brought out a backing track CD entitled 'Back in Time' so that is out but thanks for the other suggestions.
(apart from that Chatpixelstricker !!!!) "Backin' the Car" indeed

Just for your Information - at a packed Hankies night last night Phil (Risky) and I did indeed play "So Sad" from your album.
No mistakes!! It went beautifully!
