My version of "In The Bleak Midwinter" using the fantastic BT produced by Ian Plant who has very kindly given his consent to me posting...

I have used my newly acquired Focusrite iTrack Pocket recorder which is a great little recording device used in conjunction with iphone....

Using my Fender Tahitian Coral "62" reissue Strat , Vox AC15 Head and 212 Cab, No delay used, only "church" reverb...

Hope you like it

Regards,
Jim

Great Jim,

Sufficiently different from Ian's version to appreciate. Lovely echoey sound to it. I don't need to compliment your playing, we all know how good you are. Was that just recorded straight into the microphones on the front of the Focusrite? I only ask because I've bought one after seeing your first round of videos with it.

Regards,

Len

Thanks guys, much appreciated....

Len, The BT was played through my Hi-Fi system with quite large speakers and picked up by the 2 in built microphones on the Focusrite,
Then the guitar went in to the echo, then out to my Vox Ac15, then out to a Valve Amp Speaker Load Box, then line out to the Guitar input on the Focusrite....

Obviously the trick is to get the mix between the guitar and the BT correct, Took a couple of goes and now I know just where to set the levels...

The Valve Amp Speaker Load Box allows you to take a lead from the speaker jack on the amp to the box and then line out to recording source, so you can record the sound of your valve amp, Great piece of kit from RAT Electronics....

Regards,
Jim
