My live interpretation of "I wish I could shimmy like ..."

Hi all,

I hope you are all doing Ok and in good health.

This is my live interpretation of "I wish I could shimmy like my sister (Arthur)".
I used Ian McCutcheon's superb backing track.
I did my best not to shield his excellent riffs and tried to complement them instead.
As I was watching TV and creating my bridge runs, my wife said about the descending run: "Is this Ms. Robinson you are playing?".
It really came naturally and I realized that it was the same run basically. So I added the Acoustic intro too.
I Was taken off guard by the ending run of the backing track.

Hope you like it.

Blessings,
Abel

Excellent Abel, and very original in your approach to it. Loved it all.

How do you like the Classic Vibe?

Regards - and blessings,

Len

Hi all,

Glad you liked it Len.
I was much inspired by Ian McCutcheon's excellent backing track drive and his superb demo.
That's how I discovered the tune.
I emailed Ian and he directed me to Leo's Den where I ordered the CD.

All of us Shadows fans (and probably the Shadows themselves) can be very lucky and happy to have musicians and technicians of the caliber of Ian McCutcheon, the UBHank team, Charlie Hall / Collins and the OZ team (and many others) for their incredible contribution to the promotion of this music.
They really made it easy for us to express and expand our musical skills over the years.

I think I would express everyone's feeling by thanking them on behalf of all of us here and in other forums.

For the Classic vibe:
I bought it a couple years ago and didn't really use it until I came across the Texas Specials pickups that our
singer Danny Dean (who is now in Kentucky and close the Rockabilly universe) sold me for $50 a couple years ago.
I took them to my friend Rob McKenzy (from OZ, 15 years guitar player with the famous band Cha Na Na!).
He fitted them on the Classic vibe and I really like how its sounds now.

Blessings to all,
Abel
