THE SOUND OF SILENCE from Marvin At The Movies

From the “Marvin At The Movies” album.
I love the clever arrangement of this Paul Simon tune and it was sad that Hank had to leave the BT out of his “Mastertrax” CD and I am therefore extremely grateful to Jens Varmlose for the use of his own excellent BT, expertly re-mastered by Charlie Hall – many thanks..
Acoustic guitar Intro and Outro – Yamaha APX 3
Electric guitar – Alan Brason Strat, Kinman FVs, - Korg Ampworks AC15 setting – Zoom2000EFTP Patch 36 –Cakewalk.GTPro2
The playing errors are all mine – I played it as I felt it – trying to remember the positions of all Hanks runs, bends, sweeps and dips are too much for this old brain!!

Hi Rog
Try the new link. Its something to do with the title and 4Shared???!!
It works fine.
Its not the original - how I wish I could play that - so I cant fathom how they could confuse it with the original. If they have - er - maybe I'm honoured??!! LOL!
cheers
ian

Hi Ian,
It downloaded fine for me. You've done a superb job on SOS and the re-mastered BT sounds spot on.
As you say it's hard to remember all the little frills, dips, bends etc that hanks puts in but you found some nice double stops
that I missed out. Really great soundfile ! :D
Cheers Phil

Hi Ian

I cant listen to your sound file yet as I have just had my PC returned back form the PC shop with Windows 7 pro.

I'm currently trying to work out how to get my sound back. I'm hoping they didnt dislodge my sound card.

Also I'm trying to install my progrmas and prointer and am having afew conpatability problems. I have installed Windows Virtual PC and its helping but still a lot of work ahead.

I will get to you as soon as I can.

I bet it sounds awesome!!
