I agree - the orchestral parts are magnificent!
Also pleased to see that you didn't take the volume right down during the muted bits. I always hate it when people do that, because the original doesn't.

Great performance. I respect the Virtual Shadows very, very much!!
I only have two very minor criticisms, or I should say observations.
First, around 2:14 the rhythm guitarist is not playing the right chord sequence (in the muted part). He continues playing C Em F G even when he should be playing C G F G Em . . . (Bruce plays the chords in a different configuration, but that is not so important)
Second, the bassist is playing with his fingers (not even with his thumb), whereas Jet plays with a pick (and, at least in this song, always on the top of the neck using open strings), which does make a difference in the sound and was the main bass technique of the time.
As I said, this is very minor. The only reason I am mentioning it is because the Virtual Shadows are always very meticulous in their playing of Shadows songs.
Here is a video of the Shadows playing Wonderful Land

This is my all-time Shadows' favourite and I always think that it's a good number to use as a judge when comparing the overall early Shadows' sound in a cover against the original. 'Chiming' tones in the intro and a mellower sound in muted section are the elements I particularly look for and which are often missing in many covers. This is certainly one of the best I have heard and could certainly be mistaken for the original. A great individual backing track too. Most impressed. These boys can be guaranteed to produce some excellent material.
Cheers,
Ian
