Hi all,
Hope you are all in good health and spirit.
This is a live take on Elvis Presley” “Such a Night” with my new Gretsch G2420T Streamliner.
I actually used the Karaoke backing track from Michael Bubble’s cover.
A couple of strings started going out of tune when I started playing.
It's not Shadows, but I hope you will like it.
Blessings,
Abel

Hi all,
Jim,
Glad you liked it.
I don't like the tremolo bar. It's flat and doesn't go beyond a certain point, so you can't reach the lower strings.
Have you ever tried to saw the stopper?. Is it possible?
The guitar is too big … for me.
Blessings,
Abel

Get a Chet Atkins arm Abel, I did and it’s great.

It certainly is possible to grind the base of the Bigsby in order to remove the little hump which prevents the arm from being swung back anti-clockwise very far. I have certainly seen it done.
Whether it's a good idea is a different question...

I’ve posted a picture on your Facebook page of my G5420t with a Chet arm, which I fitted. I did have to drill a fraction (the difference being metric v imperial) to enlarge the hole, but it was very easy to do.

Hi Alan,
Thank you much,
Can I use a simple drill?
Which hole to enlarge? the one on the Chet Atkins arm or on the Bigsby unit?
Also, the one I intend to buy says Merle Travis style (see below). Is it the same?

Hi Abel,
the hole on the arm (left in the picture), is the one that would require to be enlarged if required. An ordinary drill and appropriate drill bit, is all that is required.
The Merle Travis arm looks very similar to the Chet arm, so I’d say yes, it’ll work. The important part of the arm, is the bend which will allow you to hold the arm while playing the bass strings without snagging the bridge. It makes a big difference when playing and imho, it was a worthwhile addition/modification. Regards, Alan
