At least one notices that the record is not simply replayed. I like your interpretation, especially the double stops in the middle part, the smooth guitar sound too.

Exactly, I'm not interested in perfect replicas of originals, I like to see good guitarists playing something in their own way. And you never let me down Abel, with your smooth skills. I too loved the added harmonies on that, and of course all the rest of it.

Hi all,

Glad you liked it,

First, I have to say that the backing by the guys themselves does it all.

I had some original arrangements that I decided to leave aside, to keep close enough to the original without offending the purist.

I wish I knew what to do to make a better live recording. Maybe a better camera with separated pups?
I welcome any suggestion on live recording with reasonable means.

This is what I have used for those who may be interested.:

- Mexican Strat 2003 fitted with "Fender Pure Vintage 59's pups" / Flatwound strings (13,17,22,32,42,50)
- to -----------> MagicStomp Charlie Hall patch 11: Level 7.6 (The right echo level would be 8.5, but it would reverberate too much in the small room as it is a live sound).
- to -----------> Fender Mustang IV amp ("Basic Studio Pre-amp" amp model)
- P.A. System playing live backing track, and Mustang amp both right behind me.
- Live recording with Sony Mini Camcorder HDR-MV1 (2.4 feet in front of me).

Blessings,
Abel

Hi Abel,

I'm not sure you can improve on that for live recording. You could perhaps put microphones on the speakers but then they'd have to go into recording software. Then you'd have the problem of synching the sound with the video.

For live playing your sound really is very good. I think sometimes we can try too hard for perfection, then the quest takes precedence over the music.

Just the thoughts of an admirer,

Hi Len,

I appreciate your advice.
I did purchase the FocusRite iTrack fir iPhone kit you suggested (less than $20 US) and the sound is very good, but the picture was a disaster.
I am not sure what caused it, the iPhone setting probably, I had a low light in the room.
I like it very much and it's very easy to use for different applications. Thank you.

I'll try to improve the lighting and do a recording with it.

Blessings,
Abel
