I saw Knopfler yesterday in Munich. Unfortunately he didn't play this song. Maybe the subtleties at the brutal volume yesterday would have gone down. IMHO he has never again played the song as filigree as on his first record.

Your version comes closest to the original and I like it very much.

An excellent performance by the VHBL, showing that there's no end to your talents.

Wolfgang, your live performance was excellent too, but I think you should put it in a separate thread so that we can concentrate our comments on one post at a time.
