Give 'em a chance to listen Neil. I love this tune and you played it well.
Just a thought. I think it would sound better using the neck pickup
Instead of the middle.

What kit are you using?

Oh yes, "learn it one day and forget it the next" I know that feeling.

Cheers, Alan.

Hello and thank you for the reply Alan. Yes you are correct about the neck pup, i could have swore it was on the neck. My gear now i sold my 1964 pro reverb last year, it was just sat there doing nothing and a friend of mine heard i was selling it and gave me lots of money for it. i now have a Fender Rumble 100. with a Magic Stomp with Charlies echos in. It sounds good to me live and the sound quality is kept when recording.Well i think its ok. Lets see if i can learn something else,i put on quite a lot a few years ago so will see how it goes.Cheers Neil

Hi Neil,
there is absolutely nothing wrong with your recording a great tune played well. In my opinion ( which is something I try not to share, opinions are like reproductive organs, we all have them but need to be careful who we share them with)
.I would be a great supporter of a “like button” but that doesn’t appear to be available.

Keep at it my friend........ enjoy......
Take care

Thank you Peter, yes thinking about it all what you say makes sense. After being away for a while i didn't know what to expect with all these young HBMs about, who can play anything and remember it the next day.Its not good in some ways getting old, but at least im having a go now. Thanks again for those kind words. Cheers Neil

Like you, I took up playing again after a long lay off (30 yrs + for me). I've been playing again for a year now, but you're already well in front of me. I find that for some reason, I now have to stare at the fret board all the time I'm playing!

I'm also extremely adept at the process of learning things then forgetting them. I've now recorded around 30 or so tracks, each of which took me an age to learn, however there is only 4 (maybe 5 on a good day) that I can play all the way through without having to sit down and re-learn some small part first. The main thing is though, it's enjoyable, so I carry on and fully intend to inflict my playing on the audience of our local Shadows club when normality resumes. I don't know why - they've never done anything to upset me, but there you go

As for your playing, it was fine, and you looked quite relaxed throughout. You set a standard I would hope to aspire to one day. Very well done.

Cliff

Hi Cliff, yes reading your reply it just sounds like me. I also have problems doing the video, it's all changed so got to learn all that again It took me ages to do that video but I did it eventually. I never played lead guitar in the day I played rhythm and bass. Learnt all the tunes I put on YouTube just for fun. neilbridges99. Keep at it and I'm sure you will get there. Cheers Neil
