WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS-Hanks version

Love it or hate it, Hanks “Guitar Man” album is possibly the last 'electric' album we'll ever see from him.
Here is a favourite of mine from it - “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” ex- George Harrison of course and with Gary and Hanks typically modern Ozzy arrangement. The intention of this sound file was to copy Hanks version so any mistakes are mine, all mine!!
The BT is stunning stuff by Andy and Phil McGarrick who have got it just right – Absolutely Superb!!
Available to download on – http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk

Nothing sophisticated about the gear here - Brason Strat – Zoom2000EFTP patch 21-Korg Ampworks AC30-Cakewalk GTPro2 as usual.

Anyway here is the Link – Ian and The McGarricks (LOL) play “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”

Enjoy!

Hi Ian,
4Shared Link now working. :) You have done a BRILLIANT job on this one !! Very accurate to Hanks original
And the solo is spot on, :D and sounds great which I'm sure you enjoyed playing. Well worth all the time and effort to work it out.
I'm sure this will go down well when you play it at the clubs.
Thanks for posting.. Cheers Phil

Hi Ian

Thanks for posting such an excellent HBM version of that great George Harrison tune. You played it really well.

As I wrote on the Perth site, I actually quite like the Guitar Man CD. Gary Taylor's excellent rhythm guitar is excellent as well as Hank's guitar of course. Let's hope Hank does do another electric guitar CD and that this is not the last we hear of him. My wife and I are looking forward to hearing Cliff and the Shadows (almost certainly for the last time together) in Melbourne in a couple of weeks time.

Cheers
Len

My thanks to Gary, Len and Rob for taking the time to listen to the sound file - your comments are much appreciated, guys.
But most of all to Phil and Andy who made the BT and inspired me to have a 'crack' at it, Solo and all!!

Glad you liked it, Phil.
Do you remember me trying this a couple of years ago at Hankies to the free BT that came with Guitarist magazine?
