California Blue is a song written by Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty. According to Roy Orbison historian Marcel Riesco and his research on "The Authorized Roy Orbison," Orbison recorded the song in April 1988 at Mike Campbell's garage in Los Angeles. "California Blue" was released on the album Mystery Girl, in January 1989.
This song also charted at #51 at the Billboard Country Music Charts, according to Hot Country Songs by Joel Whitburn. Chart entry date, 06/24/1989

I played and recorded this number, using my Fender Autograph Stratocaster (Seymour Duncan SL-1 Neck Pickup; 10-46 gauge D'Addario EXL110 strings) - Line 6 G50 Wireless - Vox Valvetronix Tonelab (AC15TB amp; AC15 cabinet; Room Reverb) - Yamaha Magicstomp (Vox Long Tom 2 patch) - Boss NS2 Noise Suppressors - Steinberg UR22 MkII Interface - Computer (Mixcraft DAW).

All criticsm more than welcome,

Clive

One of my favourite songs from the Traveling Wilburys days and one that we do in our show, to great audience response because of the vocal skill needed to perform it.
It makes a pleasant instrumental and the only thing I would criticise is a little lack of attention to detail in the tune, as there are a few incorrect notes compared to the actual record that's all. :)
