Yes great job- surprising how sometimes a Tele can do the job- I've had a few Teles and found the MIM Tele could give a very good Stratish sound especially with the middle setting. More vintage pickups don't sound as good as they can be a bit too trebly.

Thanks Martin. The Squier CV50's Tele is a real keeper right out of the box. Very soft maple body, dings very easily though.
I liked it that much I decided to also buy the 50's CV strat. The build on both these is absolutely flawless.
I do need to put something a little better in the bridge pickup of the strat though, they're not bad pups but could be a little better. A CS54 is good but my favourites have always been Korean Squier Pups from the early bullet guitars. I read recently that a lot of these were used in MIM strats.
