Who sent me the Cliff / Shadows 1961 recording?

As per title line, really... We discussed the December 1961 appearance of Cliff and The Shadows on "Sunday Night At The London Palladium" wherein the group played Apache and The Savage, then backed Cliff on several more songs, including The Young Ones, My Blue Heaven and Willie And The Hand Jive (with some comedy "assistance" from Mr Forsyth).

Someone told me they had an audio recording of the show and sent me a CD-R dubbed from the tape. But in my usual and inimitable way, I've forgotten who my benefactor was.

Was it someone here, please?

The Kingston line-up with some of that repertoire. Wish I’d seen it!

Well, it doesn't look as though I'm going to get a reply (I was seeking permission to share it), so here is the URL for a wav download (as a zip):

It's best to unzip the tracks and burn them to a CD-R with 0 seconds gap between tracks (what we used to call Disc At Once).

Don't expect too much of the quality... this was state of the art home recording in 1961.

Thanks for this piece of history Jim, including the wrong note in The Savage on which the person doing the recording remarked!

Thank Jim, always good to hear some "new" old live appearances. Hank was a master to do variations in the different numbers. Sometimes even uninteded...
