" Help the Poor ---- Re-Mix

Hi again Guys, :D

I've remixed this track .

I took out the guitar playing the power chords in the bridge and lowered the volume of the backing instruments.

I was trying to make the solo instrument sound more vulnerable / naked / melancholic.

I didn't quite make it :( ---- you could say ----Close but no cigar. Enjoy.

Hi Watty

I can't quite make up my mind which version I like best. Both are very good. I can hear what you have done with the re-mix version but I think that the lead is quite strong enough in the first.

What I did notice is how the guitar part playing the plaintif echoes sounds so much more distant in the mix, no doubt intentionally. That was really effective. Did you use a plug-in for that or is part of Cubase? Charlie Hall has been guiding me on how to do that with the RoomMachine844 and Freeverb 2 plug-ins (vst) on my Blues Shuffle.

Overall, I liked both versions though the BT sounds a little "warbly" or "wobbly" for my liking in the opening section. It's just a small thing but something I did notice. Your playing as usual was excellent and as I said above both versions were very good.

Thanks for the comments Len.

The Reverb and echo are Cubase plug-ins.
