STRING OF PEARLS_SPIKE

Hello everyone

Due to a request from Ange aka ConTiki I have posted a slower Lennard Clerwall tune. The drummer is none other than my friend P.O. Alm who was the drummer for this album and also who drummed for 1961, The Moonriders and other great bands.
Ange was the one who got me involved in all this LC music and I thank him for it. I used a Shadows sound for this via my TVS3 and using Paul's AC15 clone with my 1962 Jap. reissue.
Hope you like it

Well played.

Enjoyed that, well played and nice sound. From the gear used, I wouldn't place the sound/tone along with the early Shads sound, but it's very close to the '63/64 sound, indeed as I listened, I couldn't get Blue Sky, Blue Sea, Blue Me out of my head.

Hi Peter and Alan

Thanks for your appreciation and time to listen!!

Alan:
I also felt it was a BSBSBM similarity. The album is called "In The Shade of The Shadows" so I guess Hans Clerwall, who I have been told produced it, must have had BSBSBM in mind and rearranged it with a clever difference.
Regarding the sound, I wasnt intending to copy the early Shadows sound here but a close Lennart studio sound which used a head modified Vox Long Tom.

Cheers
Spike
